Yeast Overgrowth – Symptoms Inventory

Yeast overgrowth is one of the most prevalent, yet unrecognized, conditions of modern man. One in three Americans is suffering from it at any given time.

What do friendly intestinal flora do in the body?

*Manufacture B vitamins, essential for energy production
*Produce enzymes essential for proper digestion
*Promote healthy bowel function
*Strengthen immune function (protect against cancer, yeast infections, etc.)
*Keep unfriendly bacteria in check
*Detoxify environmental toxins
*Metabolize hormones

What feeds yeast and/or destroys friendly flora?

*Antibiotics (used medicinally or found in meat and dairy products)

“A single course of antibiotics decimates bowel microbes, killing the intestinal flora by the billions.”

(Dr. Cass Igram)

*Birth control pills
*Chlorinated drinking water
*Diets rich in red meats and animal fats
*Emotional Stress
*Pesticide residues in the food chain (act like estrogens in the body, which in turn feed yeast)
*Pollutants in the environment (act like estrogens in the body)
*Refined grains

*“Unfriendly” Sweeteners
-Aspartame (NutraSweet)
-Brown Sugar
-Corn syrup

Additional Notes

*Yeast overgrowth is one of the most prevalent, yet unrecognized, conditions of modern man.

*1 in 3 Americans have systemic yeast overgrowth at any one time.

*Candida Albicans (yeast) exist in everyone, probably appearing within an hour after birth.

*Yeast usually lives in the GI tract, kept in check by good bacteria. When that balance is disrupted, they invade distant body tissues and release their toxins into the blood stream.

*”Leaky Gut Syndrome” ….uncontrolled yeast in the intestinal tract pierces the intestinal lining. The resulting inflammatory process allows toxins, yeasts, and other micro-organisms to escape into the bloodstream. This results in a variety of health-destructive conditions including all those listed under Symptoms Inventory… exhausting the immune system, which in turn leads to things like the development of cancer.

*Yeast makes red blood cell walls stiffen, reducing ability to deliver oxygen to all body tissues and organs.

*Yeast makes white blood cells stiffen, reducing their ability to absorb invading organisms.

*Long-term control of yeast overgrowth requires strict compliance with dietary program for 2-3 months.
