Adrenals: Adrenal Fatigue Symptoms Inventory

What do the adrenals do in the body?

The adrenals produce many of the body’s most important hormones–cortisone, cortisol, aldosterone, andostenedione, DHEA, adrenaline–also called epinephrine–norepinephrine, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone.

These in turn help to do the following….

-Produce energy and guard against fatigue
-Counteract the effects of mental or physical stress
-Maintenance of libido (sex drive)
-Regulate the metabolism of carbohydrates, and thus blood sugar level -Help to maintain proper electrolyte mineral balance
-Regulate immune response
-Improve resistance to infection and allergies
-Reduce inflammation
-Help in the distribution of muscle
-Help produce restful, restorative sleep
-Govern digestion (stomach acid production) and elimination (colon)
